Summer is in full swing and our garden is producing some lovely heirlooms! Squash blossoms from our Honeynut Butternut Squash, Long Pie Pumpkin, and Candystick Delicata Squash, extra-long radish pods from our Dragon Tail and Singara radishes, and a plethora of snap beans including White Marrowfat, Tongues of Fire, Purple Teepee, Dragon Tongue, Prairie, Red Swan, Fort Portal Jade, Tavern, Beurre de Rocquencourt, Mbombo, Ojo de Tigre, and Blauhilde! Cream-tan eggs are from our rare Korean Ogye chickens, accented with wild chicory blooms. Later in the season we will be picking Pink Celtuce, Lofthouse Astronomy Sweet Corn, Puntarella, Ishikura and Crimson Forest Bunching Onions, Highland Burgundy Potatoes, Musan, Chestnut, and Khouri Edamame, Ewa Honey Bean, Winged and Asparagus Pea, Dire Dawa Basil, Nkruma Okra, and a unusual yet-to-be-named variety of zucchini that we have been breeding up!
